Police Visit to the High St, 20 November and Christmas Party & Lights switch on 27 November
The Police will be visiting High Street businesses in the morning on 20th November together with members of the New Malden Town Centre Partnership to explain a new more straight forward way of reporting crime and also hear any issues you may wish to raise.
On a lighter note New Malden Town Centre Partnership is hosting a festive party on Jubilee Square, Cocks Crescent, on Friday, 27th November, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. This is part of the New Malden High Street Christmas Light Switch on and the New Malden Methodist Church Christmas fete.
This is a great opportunity for local businesses to gain new and returning customers.
The evening is a incredibly popular event drawing hundreds more visitors than usual.
There will be great food, drinks, live music, face painting, craft stalls, games and prizes for people (small and large) who make the effort to come in fancy dress. Also Santa will magically turn on the Christmas lights on the High Street and shortly after he will give out small gifts on St Georges Square. And if that is not enough, you can also pop into New Malden Methodist Church for a traditional festive fayre.
Festivities begin at 3.30pm on Jubilee Square, the light switch on is at 5.30pm and all activities end by 8pm.
Last year various businesses offered vouchers, prizes, free samples advertised special offers, stayed open later. You could even apply for a stall on Jubilee Square (for this contact connect@newmaldenpartnership.com). This is a great chance to do something creative to boost business.
