We’re delighted to share that a new multipurpose bench, stall, and planters have been installed in Jubilee Square.
A huge thank you to Morgan Sindall for their generous support in creating and installing them, and to Eddie Chan at We Prototype for the brilliant design. The new addition has quickly become a much-loved feature — a welcoming place to sit, gather, and grow.
Over the summer, the space has been brought to life by community activity. Visitors have dropped by to enjoy the garden, share freshly made spaghetti squash soup, and take part in our apple juicing sessions, turning locally grown fruit into delicious, free fresh juice.
We were also honoured to welcome the Mayor of Kingston to Jubilee Square, who joined residents in celebrating the project and spoke warmly about the power of local growing and community collaboration.
The bench and planters have already become a symbol of what makes New Malden special — creativity, care, and coming together.
