About the event
On Jubilee Square we are trying to do our best for nature, so we will be making a dead hedge with Elliot New, Kingston's Biodiversity officer. A 'dead hedge' is a nifty way to put woody pruning's to good use and can offer more instant wildlife cover than a newly planted conventional hedge. It creates a habitat for insects and beetles as well as a rich feeding ground for small mammals such as hedgehogs. Come along and spend some time with us learning from the very knowledgeable Elliot. #communitygardening #deadhedge #urbannature #biodiversityintowns #nmtcp #kingstonuponthames
