Good Food Green Fair




Join us for a relaxed and joyful afternoon hosted by New Malden Town Centre Partnership
As part of the Kingston King Athelstan 2025 Festival, we’re celebrating our local food heritage—sharing food-growing know-how, traditional skills, and community spirit.You'll find a warm welcome from local green groups, horticulturists, musicians, and street food vendors, all coming together to create a homely, feel-good day out.
Where and When:  Jubilee Square, New Malden, Saturday 14 June | 11am–5pm
What to Expect:  Community stalls Nature-inspired workshops Live music and performances Street food and local produce A fun "Grow & Show" competitionWhat’s on the Menu?We’ll have street food from Cafe 63 serving delicious Korean bibimbap and pancakes, and Manny’s Kitchen with Sri Lankan-inspired favourites. Plus the fantastic Lamb Baa- from the legendary Lamb pub Surbiton. Highlights!Kingston Hive will showcase a new mapping project of the borough- so get your thinking caps on about Kingston’s great green resources and take part in building an even better Kingston!Kingston Association for the Blind will highlight the best veg for your eye health.Kingston for Equality are bringing recycled fashion, bird feeders, food-themed art, printmaking, and a rights of nature workshop—plus ice lollies!  The Abundance Project and Kingston Orchard invite you to taste heritage apples and explore orchard trail maps.The Mindful Compass will host a community made mandala, so bring along some natural items to co create with your community- 12–2pm.Kingston Repair Cafe will be offering free sharpening for garden shears and tools at the Transition Town and Kingston Environment Centre stall between 10am and 2pm. Please note: No knives, please, tools must be zip-tied closed and left safely at the stall until you’re ready to leave the site

Enter our “Grow & Show” competition: We’d love your help or creativity! Bring your best homemade cakes, jams, pickles, preserves, vegetables, wonky veg or themed arts and crafts, e.g can you crochet a cucumber, knit a new potatoe, paint peas? use your imagination, the more fun and wacky the better. 
Registration: 11am–12.30pm 
Judging: 1pm–2.30pm

Last but by no means least we are very grateful to Sunray Recycle who have teamed up with the RBK Climate Hub to keep the event green and clean and the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames, Kingston 2025 Celebrations, for funding this event.
